Canninghill Piers was designed by the world renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, who is an American designer best known for his residential projects like those in Chicago, Illinois and Washington, D.C. This unique community was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright when he was just thirty years old. The Piers floor plan was designed to create a community that would be the perfect mix of man and nature. Located on a sheltered bay of the Canninghill Piers, these residential units are made out of fireproof materials and are designed to withstand winds up to 130 mph. The units are designed to accommodate two to six people. The Canninghill Piers condo floor plan consists of apartments that have a combination of one to four bedroom units on the lower floor, and studio units on the upper floors. These apartments are made to have the most advanced technology - integrating a number of high-tech appliances into each apartment for the convenience of their owners.

Located on the Canninghill Piers at the eastern end of the district is the Canninghill Hub, which is an open-air structure consisting of an information desk, coffee kiosk and a waiting lounge for residents to relax. The information desk offers residents a number of resources including educational links, news, magazines, maps and more. The coffee kiosk is designed to offer a variety of specialty coffee services to customers in an automated system. To cater to the needs of its customers, the Hub offers dining options, a shopping centre and a Deli.

Developed by Bellmore Properties, the mixed-use Canninghill Piers project is expected to create approximately 100,000 square feet of office space and retail space for tenants of the project and for people who are interested in making a place for their own business. The property is zoned for mixed-uses and includes parking for the public. There will be a walking path connecting the Canninghill Piers to downtown Denver, a covered pedestrian entrance and across the north and south boundaries of the project.
